5 healthy habits that changed my life!

 Every successful person practices this;

Here are 5 habits that took me from dreaming about change to making it!

They always told us as kids to never skip breakfast, this is the deal! Start your day with some simple but effective life-changing habits

1. Dream big, and start small. If you're like me, someone who is motivated to grow and improve, you want to CHANGE it all overnight, or all at once. Write down your dreams, and how you are going to get there in the long term, by creating habits in the short term.

It all starts with action, which will then kick-start your momentum, to go down the

list, and start making the dream happen.

2. Improve your morning routine. When you wake up, what you feed yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually matters. Eat healthy foods that are going to help you achieve your physical and wellness goals. Start your day by fueling your mind with positive information! To get in the habit of recentering, discipline yourself to read; whether it be a devotional, informational text, or something you enjoy, it is a MUCH better way to exercise your brain than scrolling on your phone.

3. Make a list of items with a box you can check off so that you are celebrating your accomplishments with a check. When I check items off my list, I feel inspired to continually be productive and keep moving. Celebrating your success WILL you to get confident in your daily tasks.

4. Get active. Move your body in some way. Health is wealth, the way you look and feel will help you to stay fit mentally and achieve more!! Endorphins are chemicals (hormones) your body releases when it feels pain or stress. They're released during activities such as exercise. Endorphins help relieve pain, reduce stress, and improve your sense of well-being. Take care of your body by getting rest and waking up early & make sure your hygiene is good and accounted for always.

5. Keep yourself organized and your space clean. The first thing I do in the morning routinely is make my bed. Your space is a reflection of your mental health, so if you look around and your space is messy, pick it up! Your space may be the reason you feel stressed! Choose one day a week to do a deep clean and organization of your spaces; room, car, bathroom etcetera. A tip that helped me to keep momentum was that I looked around the room intentionally to see if anything was out of place before I left a room or space, and picked up 4 things I could find! This helped me to create a great habit of keeping it clean!

Ever wondered how I managed to lose 40 pounds within a year...

What if I told you that the reason I was able to lose 40 pounds was consistency? The GREATEST niche in health, wellness, and fitness are these quick fixes that will "transform your body in 30 days" or food and supplements that will instantaneously change our body in a small amount of time. As consumers this sounds pretty great! I fell into the trap of believing these fads at the beginning of my journey and I want you to understand that this is a ploy-  slow and steady  will show you results. Let's dive into the world of health/wellness. The goal is to continuously become healthier to sustain your body and improve mobility, stamina, and energy (whatever your personal goals are) mentally and physically. Some of the most successful people say everything worth having takes time to accomplish, and with health and wellness, it is a lifelong walk uphill! I was trying different diets; cutting out too much and working out WITHOUT a plan and for too long until I realized that a pla...

Identity :)

  First impressions  … Mean nothing about someone’s character. You cannot judge a tree by its bark, you can tell what kind of fruit the tree produces if you wait around and water it. I am a ‘what you see is what you get’ kind of person so for me a first impression isn’t something I stress because as a human I am imperfect in my ways, and what people should do is care about character over social status.  I know who I am and will correct you if you misinterpret me whether it be positively or negatively, because we all have strengths and weaknesses that are ever changing and improving in our lives. The importance of authenticity and identity is that we know who we are in Jesus Christ and that our value is known by ourselves. Impressions are for others.  There are few people who truly know you. Those that matter are: Your parents, close friends (not strangers, coworkers, acquaintances, or classmates) And above all God. If you check in with God and pray often about who yo...
