Ever wondered how I managed to lose 40 pounds within a year...

What if I told you that the reason I was able to lose 40 pounds was consistency?
The GREATEST niche in health, wellness, and fitness are these quick fixes that will "transform your body in 30 days" or food and supplements that will instantaneously change our body in a small amount of time. As consumers this sounds pretty great! I fell into the trap of believing these fads at the beginning of my journey and I want you to understand that this is a ploy- slow and steady will show you results.

Let's dive into the world of health/wellness. The goal is to continuously become healthier to sustain your body and improve mobility, stamina, and energy (whatever your personal goals are) mentally and physically. Some of the most successful people say everything worth having takes time to accomplish, and with health and wellness, it is a lifelong walk uphill! I was trying different diets; cutting out too much and working out WITHOUT a plan and for too long until I realized that a plan over time would be my key to actually making lasting changes to my life.

4 Ways slow changes has changed my life and got me results

1. You are what you eat: I cut fast food out of my diet. I instantly saw a difference in my body! I was less bloated and my face was less inflamed- which didn't affect my weight initially, but it affected my skin and gut health!

2. Work smarter, not harder: I was exhausted trying workout plans of d1 athletes and following the plans on YouTube reels. I was seeing results but wasn't sleeping enough, stretching correctly, and exerting my body for more than an hour in the gym daily! The most common misconception about health and wellness is that they are two separate items when they work hand in hand. Did you know; that without proper sleep it makes it more difficult for your body to burn fat? Once I learned to have a rest day incorporated into my workout plan and to sleep a regular amount, is when I started to lose weight.

3. I made food that excites me: I wasn't much of a cook until I entered the health and wellness community! Fun Fact: I was actually one to go to the store to get a smoothie rather than get the materials and make it from home! Now I enjoy meal prepping my chia pudding, and blending a smoothie packed with protein before/after the gym. Food is fuel- if you want to love your body in the best way you can, give it the nutrients that you deserve to keep it alive and functioning! Under, or over-feeding your body can lead to issues of energy. Easting too much can leave you feeling bogged down, like you may feel after holidays of eating yummy treats with family- or eating too little which can leave you feeling tired and will make it harder for your brain to function, your body to function in exercise, and for you to have any muscle gain.

4. Time: Everyone wants instant gratification, ask yourself this: if you could have the life you want overnight, would you have the discipline to maintain what you are given? The reality is that one takes time, but luckily it is a journey. The journey has been so fun, and learning from trial and error, inconsistent habits, and the secrets of these marketing tactics that won't tell you that the key is consistency AND momentum (vs motivation) is what will propel you forward.

-----I'm going to be sharing reels on my journey further into health and wellness along with free tips as a guide to your success so you can win! I want to inspire you to take immediate action <3

How to make a comeback

Build in Silence Don’t broadcast your progress. Let results do the talking when the time comes. 1. Define the “Comeback” Ask yourself: What are you coming back from ? (e.g., burnout, failure, bad habits, social loss, financial problems) What are you coming back to ? (e.g., a new career, inner peace, fitness, intellectual sharpness) 🎯 Clarity = Direction. Define what success will look like after your comeback. 2. Re-emerge with Intent When you’ve rebuilt your knowledge, confidence, and momentum: Reconnect with people from a position of strength. Apply for new roles, launch your idea, share your knowledge. Speak from experience , not opinion. ⚔️ The comeback hits harder when no one sees it coming. Start by planning out how you are going to handle your time- your financial, spiritual, mental, and physical goals; here is my list, you can copy and paste and ask these questions for yourself What is my goal for the year, next 6 months, and next few weeks How...

Rejection: The Ultimate “Not Today”

We’ve all been there — a job application gets passed over or maybe you just gave your best pitch to that one person at the party, only for them to look at you like you’re speaking a different language. Rejection can feel like the universe is giving you a giant Nope, and it stings. But here’s the thing: rejection doesn’t mean you’re not valuable. In fact, it’s just God’s way of saying, “Not this time, but I’ve got something better in store for you.” Let’s be real. It’s hard not to let rejection hit your confidence. It’s like showing up at your friend’s party wearing the best outfit, only to realize you’re the only one who read the invite wrong — it’s a costume party and you’re in a regular T-shirt. But does that mean you’re suddenly less amazing? Absolutely not. Remember, the Bible reminds us of how much we are chosen and loved, even when we face setbacks. One of my favorite verses is from 1 Peter 2:9: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s sp...
