The heart

In a world obsessed with the latest trends, celebrities, and how many likes your avocado toast gets, it’s easy to forget one of life’s most essential truths: what matters is the heart.

I’m talking about the metaphorical heart—the one that’s the seat of love and kindness

You see, it doesn’t matter if you’ve got the latest smartphone, the sleekest car, or a closet full of high-fashion clothing. If your heart isn’t in the right place, then, well, your Instagram followers might still love you, but your neighbors probably won’t.

The Heart, The Real MVP

If you've ever had a bad day and received a warm hug, a kind word, or just someone genuinely listening to you, you know what I mean. That’s the magic of the heart. It’s the stuff that doesn’t come with a price tag but can be more valuable than the fanciest gold-plated watch. The heart is the glue that holds us all together.

Imagine a world where people smiled just because, offered help without being asked, and took the time to actually listen instead of scrolling on their phones. That’s the kind of world I want to live in.

The Heart’s Not Just for Romance

Let’s talk about love for a minute—not the romantic kind, but the universal, I-care-about-you kind. I know, I know, when you hear "heart," it’s easy to immediately think of that gushy, romantic Valentine’s Day vibe. But the truth is, the heart is for more.

It’s about those little everyday acts of kindness that seem small but are actually huge. Whether it’s holding the door for someone, complimenting someone’s haircut (even if they didn’t ask), or offering your seat on the bus—it’s these heart-powered moments that make the world a better place.

The Heart Doesn’t Need a Six-Pack

Okay, let’s be real: society spends a lot of time telling us how to look, what to wear, and how to make our outsides look just perfect. But here’s the thing—the heart doesn’t need to look good to do good. No need for sculpted abs or the perfect Instagram filter. The heart doesn’t come with a “before” and “after” shot.

Sure, we all want to look good in photos (because who doesn’t love a good selfie?), but at the end of the day, it’s the invisible stuff that really counts. And the good news is: the heart gets better with age—it just gets more valuable the more you use it.

Conclusion: Heart Over Hype

So, next time you find yourself obsessing over whether or not your outfit is on trend, or if you’re doing enough to "fit in" with the cool crowd, remember: what really matters is the heart. And if your heart is in the right place, everything else will fall into place too.

Identity :)

First impressions  … Mean nothing about someone’s character. You cannot judge a tree by its bark, you can tell what kind of fruit the tree produces if you wait around and water it. I am a ‘what you see is what you get’ kind of person so for me a first impression isn’t something I stress because as a human I am imperfect in my ways, and what people should do is care about character over social status.  I know who I am and will correct you if you misinterpret me whether it be positively or negatively, because we all have strengths and weaknesses that are ever changing and improving in our lives. The importance of authenticity and identity is that we know who we are in Jesus Christ and that our value is known by ourselves. Impressions are for others.  There are few people who truly know you. Those that matter are: Your parents, close friends (not strangers, coworkers, acquaintances, or classmates) And above all God. If you check in with God and pray often about who yo...

Ever wondered how I managed to lose 40 pounds within a year...

What if I told you that the reason I was able to lose 40 pounds was consistency? The GREATEST niche in health, wellness, and fitness are these quick fixes that will "transform your body in 30 days" or food and supplements that will instantaneously change our body in a small amount of time. As consumers this sounds pretty great! I fell into the trap of believing these fads at the beginning of my journey and I want you to understand that this is a ploy-  slow and steady  will show you results. Let's dive into the world of health/wellness. The goal is to continuously become healthier to sustain your body and improve mobility, stamina, and energy (whatever your personal goals are) mentally and physically. Some of the most successful people say everything worth having takes time to accomplish, and with health and wellness, it is a lifelong walk uphill! I was trying different diets; cutting out too much and working out WITHOUT a plan and for too long until I realized that a pla...
